Description

The AJ table lamp in black was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1960 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (now the Radisson Collection Hotel, Royal Copenhagen) and made up part of the complete design concept for the hotel. More than one of the hotel’s products have since achieved status as design icons and among the lighting products, the AJ lamps are internationally renowned.

About the design

The AJ table lamp in black is equipped with a fixture head with a characteristic asymmetric shape, which is essential to the fixture’s light qualities. The fixture head on the AJ table lamp can be tilted and turned 60 degrees from side-to-side. With its unique look, the lamp is a modern classic.

A completely unique profile that is easily recognizable around the world with roots all the way back to 1960, when the SAS Royal Hotel was launched as a complete design concept that has since achieved cult status.
