Embodying the values of Scandinavian design, the Ambit Pendant Lamp is as timeless as it is contemporary. Made of hand-spun aluminium that has been hand-painted, the Ambit Pendant Lamp features clean lines and a white interior that heighten contrasts of its outside shade while enhancing the light emitted in any room of a home, office or commercial space. Use the design on its own or symmetric formations and vibrant clusters.
The Muuto Ambit pendant light refers to the design of a typical brazier, turning the bowl shape of the cooking stove upside down to form a lampshade. The Muuto Ambit pendant is constructed using a traditional process; formed from aluminium that has been press-spun, polished and hand-painted.
Product Material
Aluminum lamp shade and PVC cord. Made from old braizer traditions, the lamp shade is press spun by hand. Hereafter, the lamp shade is polished and painted by hand.

Story
Muuto’s minimalistic Ambit pendant light is made of light, press-spun aluminium. The designers, Gabriella Gustafson and Mattias Ståhlbom from TAF Studio, drew their inspiration from traditional braziers. Ambit pendant light comes in a selection of beautiful hand painted colours that create a pleasant contrast with the shade’s white interior. Ambit shines, especially, as a light above a dining or coffee table.

We discovered a unique dynamic between linear and rounded shapes that gives the lamp its unique outline, making the Ambit Pendant Lamp a timeless design that you’ll never grow tired of while its hand spun aluminium material and contrasting white inner makes for an elegant touch.”
"The process was extra challenging since the concept is very basic and the material and technique very conventional," Ståhlbom said. "We worked a lot with the design, shape, curves and textures. There were lots of discussions around the expression, context and 'timelessness'. We also put a lot of effort into trying to make them easy to stack and transport."
